Ive had squeezing pain on and off for years-just about 2 inches below left breast, sometimes on my right side. I've had very mild elevated lipase with each episode of pain. However, I have had NUMEROUS EUS, Mrcps and thus far they are totally clear of any type of damage. Just recently my bowels are soft, like soft serve (gross sorry)-every day. Only occassionally in the past have I vomitted, but it was randomly in the middle of the night a couple times and before these pains onset.

Ive had biopsies to rule out other things, and a sig so no colon issues up to that point.

Does this sound like pancreatitis? Alcohol does set off my episodes so I now refrain. Also lost a parent to pancreatic cancer.

tmi. lol. bowel motions with AP is putty coloured. at the moment i have soft serve also. which is not like me at all
i have been told not to diet - not to weigh myself . i am average weight for age. not skinny..

have u had your gall bladder out ?

the pain for AP. is sooo awful. it is the worst pain i have ever had. i have had gall bladder pain. and 4 babies. cancer surgery without morphine. i know i can take synthetic morphine. you cant breath the pain is so bad. then it settles .. pancreatitis can be caused by gall stones which may not show up or pass. so u wont know.
also look at gastroparesis which pancreatitis can trigger

Sorry that you lost a parent to pancreatic cancer that must weigh heavy on your mind.....and cause you some anxiety if you will get it too. Mild elevated lipase levels can happen to anyone even without pancreatitis. How do you know that your lipase levels are elevated with pain? Did you get blood work done when you were in pain? How do you know if the lipase levels aren't mildly elevated when you are not in pain? It just might be the norm for you. For pancreatitis you have to have high numbers for it to be pancreatitis, but there are those few whose enzymes don't elevate because they have most of their pancreas calcified or necrotized. But if you had numerous testings and nothing is showing up wrong with your pancreas it could be something else too.....maybe a bile duct from the pancreas has issues or if you still have a gallbladder that could cause issues as well. But stay on the safe side and keep refraining from the alcohol and no smoking and eat a healthy diet....maybe keep a food journal to see if there is pattern of what foods may set the off the pain. I also agree with sunshine maybe some type of gastroparesis after you eat is happening causng you the pain and vomiting issues. Def keep it low fat and low carbs because that are the 2 enzymes that are produced from your pancreas. Exercise, even if it is just walking is good for overall health. Take a probiotic to balance your flora in your stomach and maybe a acid reducer.
Also on your bm part orangey stools are malaborption and pale stools are panky stools.
