The EUS and endoscopy were fine. He said there were a couple of abnormalities with my pancreas but a couple is normal. I guess you have to have 5 or more to be considered for chronic pancreatitis. So, my pancreas is normal. Had some red spots in stomach and esophages...they biopsied them for h-pylori and I will get the results on friday. No real answers as to what is wrong yet...we know I have GERD and SOD, which may be the main problem. I have been told to simply limit fat and alcohol intake and we are upping my dose of prevacid. If that doesn't help it will be upped again in a couple of weeks. If there is still no relief than I will be back and most likely have an ercp done. That's what I've got so far!

Hi, glad your EUS went ok - really hope things start to improve for you soon. I was tested last week for H-pylori but it was negative.

thank you! I do too. It's hard when you don't know what's wrong. It all just kinda started out of nowhere and no my digestive system is a mess! I do have a wonderful doctor in Indianapolis though, so I hope he figures things out.

no h-pylori was found, but they did find some chronic gastritis...

Im so glad it went well. Forgive my foggy memory. Did you say if they put in a stent or not? When I went down to Indy back in July they put one in and it has really helped decrease the pain and nausea.

But the stent is out now. I go back down there next week. I'll be thinking of you when Im sitting in the waiting room for my appointment since you had just been there, My doc is the tall handsome looking one.

what is your docs name? I had a stent put in 4 years ago but I think they pass on there own. I've been fine up until now. We didn't want to rush into another ercp because I did have that mild pancreatitis attack after the last one. It was mild (levels in the couple of hundreds) but I still had to stay and be on an IV for 3 days. That's why I don't think I've had any other acute attacks. I haven't felt like I did that time...no SEVERE pain and no vomiting. I ate what I wanted the whole first week this started actually. I don't know if gastritis flare up could've caused all of this or not. I do believe my SOD is back but I can handle that for now. As long as the burning and nausea and reflex go away! You guys have all been great! Oh, and my doctor is Sherman. He's great...and very friendly which helps. He did more for me in 2 days than anyone here did for a month.

how far are you from Indy?

my doc is "C" he the young tall one. Im about 2 1/2 hours from Indy.

Im right at that stage where they dont know what to do with me. Im not bad enough to need major help and Im not so mild that I dont need help.

I guess that's a pretty hard situation to deal with! Ido love the people in Indy. It's about 3 1/2 hours for me but it is worth it to find someone that knows what they are doing. I'm not sure what has caused all this since they have only found chronic gastritis. Perhaps I had an acute flare up of that. Don't really know. Just glad I'm feeling a bit better at the moment. I've had to take LOTS of prevacid to start to heal though.
