Barb just got out of intensive care late Tuesday night. She seems to be progressing well. I have a couple of concerns because she has hypoactive bowel activity. She has not had any food or water since May 12th. They took her ng tube out Wednesday and throat very sore. They are not ambulating her-lazy I think.
Her surgeon was Dr. Hoffman out of Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. The surgery, however, was done at Temple University Hospital. Hopefully she'll be out soon.
Thank you for your concern and caring.
Do you have a loved with pancreatic cancer?
I hope no one on this site minds that I comment even though I have not been dx with cancer. I hope I do not get that dx, but I want to know all I can and talking to people that have been through it is really informatiive. I do feel huge sympathy for all on this site, as this is a horrible experience for the patient and their family. They are ALL in my prayers .
Let us know how she is doing !

Can't they remove your cyst?
Believe me, I don't think anybody minds that you are part of this group. Your words are inspiring, your support is invaluable and we will also keep you in our prayers that this doesn't lead to anything worse and that you will live a long, happy and enjoyable life.
Barb is up and moving. Finally gave her food after 7 days (liquids). We are hopeful that she will be discharged to go home and heal the rest of the way.
Thank you for all your caring.
