Taxotere

I think that is how it is spelled. Has anyone had any experience with this drug? I have graduated to monthly maintenance dose of taxotere. From what I have read it is a derivative of taxol and supposed to be twice as strong. The only side effect I had with taxol was my hair falling out. So will I loose twice as much. Dang it was just starting grow some.

have no knowledge of Taxotere but wish you luck with your treatment. does this mean you are doing better from your previous treatment?

Yes I have had a normal reading for 9 weeks after 6 mos. of treatment with taxol and carboplatin and surgery in Jan. I was in hopes of being completely discharged but Dr. says that there is a 50/50 chance of reoccurrence thus the monthly maintenance.

I am almost sure I was given that for my last 3 sessions - in combination with Carboplatin. I complained about numbness in feet/legs and fingers, and it is supposed to be a less toxic version of Taxol. After the 2nd treatment, my hair actually started to grow back - very slowly mind you. I found the numbness got slightly better, unfortunately the nausea didn't. Conny

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
