I hope you both find something that helps.
Nanny, do you think strontium would would help in this case? Or maybe it's too late.

Regarding the strontium citrate, I can only say that it helps my spine to feel stronger. I had compressed one of my vertebrae several years ago before I knew that I had osteo. It was always a little painful, and grew worse after I started on prednisone. But once I started taking the supplements, especially the strontium citrate, the pain went away too. Don't know if it would work for someone else, but it worked for me.
Strontium Citrate is a supplement that my doctor recommended. The one I use is Strontium Bone Maker by Doctor's Best. It is in capsule form, and I buy mine at Vitacost.com, because it's the cheapest place for me to buy it. But I've seen it at GNC and Walgreen's. If you get strontium citrate, my doctor told me to take it at least 4 hours apart from calcium, otherwise they fight for the bones. She told me to take calcium, magnesium, vitamin d3, and vitamin k2 in the morning, and to take strontium citrate close to bedtime. If you get it, I hope it works for you as well as it works for me.
Meanwhile I went to the spine surgeon and am just being offered physical therapy and a visit to the osteoporosis center.
