yeah.. I tried that, honey, aspirin, and every other home remedy. Abreva worked a little, then I found Viradux-coldsore. It's new. And it works. At least it has for me. Good luck.

I've tried everything (literally) to get rid of cold sores & the absolute best thing for me is rubbing alcohol. As soon as you feel it coming use a q-tip to apply (will chap your lips so you want it just on the sore) & reapply as much as you can, every hour if possible. It will stop it from forming & if it's already formed will get rid of it in about 3 days. They suck, hope this helps.

I have an outbreak now and its bigger than normal, so Im willing to try anything. Went to the store this morning and so far have been sitting at home with diaper cream on my lip. So, far not sure if its working, but Im willing to try it. I read its the Zinc in the cream that helps heals the sore. I also picked up some Zinc pills and increased my dose of L-Lysine. Im afraid that all these "treatments" Im doing are going to cancel out each other.

Did you get results from that yet? Please let me know. I heard that some suggested other products that can help, but don't know which ones can help out.

tinalovely111, I don't think they will cancel each other out since the treatments you're trying aren't necessarily directly related. Some of them may end up being unnecessary (if they are not *actually* working), but I wouldn't worry about them having complications with each other. Of course I'm not an MD, so ask them, but I say if they help you to feel less stressed in general and give you a sense of empowerment, keep it up!
