Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

Is it possible for thoughts of suicide to become typical OCD obsessions? Lately I've been having a lot of these suicidal ruminations, and I want them to go away. I consider them intrusive thoughts, not like the actual suicidal thoughts with depression, but idk.... it's confusing. Anyhow, I have no intention to commit it

If it is disturbing you then it is ocd. Have you talked to your counselor or therapist about it?

Yes, I had suicidal obsessions in the past and a little bit now. It's good that you don't have intentions to actually commit suicide. The OCD suicidal thoughts can still be super annoying. But there is hope. I don't have the suicidal OCD thoughts nearly as often as I used to.

I deal with this problem whereI'm constantly thinking of death and ways of death. My doctor said it's a part of my OCD. So far, the only thing I've found that has got rid of these intrusive thoughts is Zoloft.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
