Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Even though I don't have the same thing going on, It makes perfect sense because it sounds like OCD. A lot of people who have OCD tend to be afraid of losing their mind and losing their touch with reality. I know I'm terrified of losing it! But one thing to remember, when someone is 'losing their touch with reality', they don't know it. You're becoming anxious, therefore you're FINE.
Basically i think its just a thought that happens when you have an overload of anxiety. Just try to remain calm, you questioning these thoughts makes you in control of your mind and therefore you are not losing touch of reality :)
