Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

The reason I decided to try meds is because I figured I didn't have anything to lose. If you try a medication, and it doesn't work out, you can always get off of it and even try a different SSRI. You might have to try a few before you find the one that suits your body chemistry the best. But it's worth a shot, right? Definitely keep up the CBT. I think if you combine that with medication, you could really see some drastic improvements.
Best of luck to you.
