Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
I am a hypochodriac with bad anxiety. And believe me, i have thought up some crazy stuff. But just like you, i try to talk myself out of stuff like thAt. The only difference is that I am always thinking of a disease that i may have.
Also, try just mentally relaxing. Try to steer your mind to a nice relaxing place. Drink u some tea.
I hope you feel better soon hun.
schizophrenic, i have the exact thoughts that i am going crazy , sometimes i fear i will hurt my kids , but believe me because we fear this it will never be as we care too much. My doctor told me once that crazy or schizo people do not even know they crazy for them we might seem crazy , have you ever heard of a crazy person worring about doing something stupid. Its time you make peace with your thoughts for example i find if my thoughts get crazy i speak to them and tell them we are friends and friends never hurt each other ,and also they need me ,just as much as i need them . Are you on any medication?
Hoping and praying for your inner peace
take care
Seeking therapy can be beneficial. It really helps to let emotions go, and to get the professional help you need. I see a therapist with a humanistic approach -- I talk, and he listens. If I ask for advice, he gives it to me, but doesn't push me further. He'll only step in once he sees I'm desperate!
From there, if you need medicine, it's a simple matter of either seeing a psychiatrist, or going back to a good ol' general practitioner who knows you and your background in life.
You're definitely NOT crazy, and you will win this! =)
take care of you!! keep up the good fight!!
