Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
God bless you all! -Jake
First I'm starting and staying on medication as long as it is working well for me. Then, I am going to work on improving my physical and mental health. I am going to exercise and eat better. I am going to do yoga and learn to meditate. I think these things will make me more mindful. I also want to find things to which I can look forward. It doesn't have to be huge, just a little healthy distraction. I'm hoping this will help me stop avoiding OCD and Anxiety until it rears its ugly head so bad to get my attention. Ignoring it is clearly not getting me anywhere.
