Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

This OCD is ruining my life. All i can think about is having Schizophrenia or should i say developing it. That's all i think about. I keep thinking i am hearing things, Im so terrified i am having delusions because of my thoughts being kind of delusions, but i know what i am thinking isnt true. Like the government being after me, i know it isnt true, or the thought about cameras being in my apartment isnt true. My computer had a virus in it this morning and i had this intrusive thought about the government sending me the virus which i know its true! GOD! I am so sick and tired of this...When am i ever going to get over this? DO i really have delusions....,am i really schizophrenic or developing it?....I went to a psychiatrists a week ago, and she told me i am not schizophrenic, and i have really bad OCD and a mood disorder! I seriously cant handle this crap anymore, its ruining my life, and i cant think about anything else. Literally. I am terribly sick of it. Please someone tell me this is just OCD.... im scared.....

This is totally just your OCD. I had an obsession that I had tapeworm, this obsession last 1.5 yrs. it was horrible. I lost 15 pounds in a week in a half cuz I barely ate anything in the fear that I would be feeding the worm and making it bigger. I would imagine what it would be like to have to pass the worm. Ever since I learned about parasites in 7th grade I have been obsessed but this obsession was debilitating. I would feel my stomach constantly and every movement I felt inside of me (gas and digestion) I would think it was the worm moving. I walk around in public thinking about how I had a huge worm in my and everyone else was completely clean of parasites. I was terrified of going to the bathroom in fear that there would be a sign of the parasite. I was constantly looking online about parasites and there symptoms. I started feeling something crawling up my throat, this last 3 months in itself. I would make my mom feel my stomach and look down my throat. I was a wreck. Obsessions can make you go wacko and make you think you have something you do not. It is crazy how much OCD can eff you up. I used to fear also that I was schizo but it was only panic attacks. I still fear though that it is not that. I ahven't had this kind of specific panic attack in a long time. But with these everything starts speeding up. my inner voice is going fast, when I listen to people talk they sound like they are talking so fast. Everything is sped up. It is just anxiety and my boyfriend has told me that happens to him too sometimes, he also suffers from anxiety and it on this site. YOU DO ARE NOTSCHIZO. OCD IS A BULLY, THAT'S THE PROBLEM. You are more than your OCD.
