Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
I also have religious doubts and it scares me, too. My pastor did tell me that everyone's faith has stronger and weaker phases. Hang in there.
I'm a roman catholic, and I sometimes have religious thoughts when dealing with my OCD, but they are never to that extreme because our religion is more strict in order.
Do you take any medication?
I also DO know how it is to have thoughts of other people getting hurt, just not with food stuff. I stress a lot about bad things happening to my family (whom I love and would never do anything to harm them). Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are NOT alone!!!
