Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
LOL!
Yes,u have some ocd here and it can be as bizzare and mundane as u can ever imagine...
the point with ocd is for us to refrain from giving these rituals much importance...
call them ocd,,refocus...and just keep going on with yr day.
Clutter...sorry if I gave you a new obsession~:) Maybe we should be friends. We could create a club called the "wacko letter people".
Streams...Yes, I do have "feelings" about letters. The ones I consider odd are "good" and the even ones are "bad" to me.
Ariyule...No colors but that's a good one. I might just have to pick that one up. :)
Michelina...Yes, I do the syllable things too. Words with an odd number of syllables are "good" and the ones with an even number of syllables are "bad" in my mind.
Isn't all of this fascinating?! It doesn't matter how much you know that it's ridiculous, you just keep right on doing it. My OCD isn't bad enough where it interferes with aspects of my life. How about y'all? Does your OCD interfere with daily activities? How?
Thanks everyone,
Jeff^~
I definitely feel like even is sharp and straight and sometimes it makes lower case and capitals of the same letter often be different in the case of odd and even.
I really don’t like odd letters and this takes over in my handwriting sometimes where I will subconsciously write certain odd letters in capital form if that is even.
I never realised anyone else felt this way!
