Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
But yes, the obsessions and thoughts do change from time to time. However, they usually have the same underlying thing -- usually guilt.
always had ocd compulsions -bodily ,etc
now pure o.
and the pure o changes over time...i try to remind myslef that it is ocd and that as long as i dont improve the anxiety ocd will find something else to obsess over.its not the obsession or compulsion that is the prob but the anxiety.so lets not be surprised by ocd..we can be a step ahead...when it comes, call it ocd and let it pass...get to doing something(exercise, music, etc)
