Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Has anyone had Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery for their ocd? I had the surgery a couple months ago and am looking for any other people who have had it to possible talk online about having had such a unique operation.

If its the operation I think your talking about then NO, you wont find many people who have had that operation done since to get approval for the operation is really really dificult, it requires a patient to try every means of therapy and every medication out in the market for a few years before they will even consider you for that operation.

I actually saw this procedure on Dr Phil awhile ago. There were two people who had really bad OCD it controlled their lives. They had this procedure done in California.. It was a series of brain stimulations.. I forget how many they did but it was a series. The results were amazing. Their lives were changed. They showed a scan of the brain before and after and the OCD brian resembled a "normal" brain after this procedure...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
