Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
What usually helps me feel better is if I immediately do something I like such as watching a favorite YouTuber or TV show or listening to music.
I think, if I'm not mistaken, our dreams are the subconscious doing what it does all the time. Obsessing about the things that bother us most. The things that we dwell on most. Whether we realize it during our waking hours or not.
