Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

My O.C.D. thoughts seem to be trying to go down a different path because I covered up the old paths with cement. My fear is that I hit someone with my car and did not stop. I use to drive back and check. My brain is like a dvd player and I do not know which O.C.D. thought it is going to stop at. I can remember the exact location where the thought occurred. Is it the O.C.D. that hooks up to ths thought and digs a groove in my brain that the thought lives in. I have thoughts from 20 yrs ago. My therapist has me when I get a general thought I send it back to Blockbuster Video store. And when I get a specific driving past O.C.D. thought I give the person candy. I also sometimes say there it is Does this happen to anyone else? My thoughts have alsways centered around hurting other people. My psych. doctor says that this is a very common O.C.D. I am also on meds.

I had this very thing happen to me a few months back. I was coming home from a ballgame and met someone in a curve....we both had to have some driving skills to get it done right. Anyway...I got up the road...and it hit me....what If I made them go off the road. What if they are back there...DEAD?!?!? I said something to my mom about it and she was like, "Erica, you would have heard the gravel or something." that didn't satisfy me and I wanted to turn back so bad...but didn't because I knew she'd think I'd done lost my mind. The only thing that got me through that was the thought that the next day I could call and see if any accidents had been in that area. The next day came and I never thought of it again....I had already moved on to some other obsession.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
