Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Anyway, I really struggle with general OCD ~ I pray that you may slow down a bit, and feel better. When my heart starts to thump, I TELL IT TO PLEASE STOP. Try to calm down and breathe deeply.
On another note it does sound as if you have not developed who you are as a person and due to this you seem to be looking at what other people are doing. This could signify low self esteem or low self image. both are easily treatable. What I would advise is take some time for yourself. get to know you. what defines you as a person? don't ask what others define you to be as this will pigeon hole you into the perceptions of others. focus on you. what makes you tick? what makes you happy? what do you wish to do in your life? how do you define yourself? take some time to get to know you again and in time you will become comfortable in your own skin and these obsessions will go away.
Peace!
