Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Is this OCD or just obsessive thoughts?

I have obsessive thoughts about several different things.
One thing is that I worry constantly over my pets. I'm always worried I'm not taking every precaution with them. Taking care of them is a routine I have. If We go out and its during the time i do my routine with them then I worry and can't think of nothing else. I go out of my way to check on them if something is unusual and I fear something effecting them.
I also obsess over my husband and what he's doing and who he's talking to.
I also sometimes obsess if i start having a symptom that makes me fear.
I have panic attacks and bipolar disorder. My mom has OCD. Mostly when she gets stressed. But its manageable. I've seen shows on tv where people can't leave the house and have to touch items a milliin times to feel comfortable. Thats not me..so i was just wondering ...
I haven't discussed these things with a therapist..just figured i was an excessive worrier.

Sounds like it may be OCD, but only your therapist can diagnose you for sure

Is this behavior affecting your daily life? It seems to me that it might be. Think about it. If it is, it might be OCD. Everyone is obsessive-compulsive to a degree, but it becomes a problem, a disorder, when it's affecting your daily life in a way that you can't function normally. I agree with OCDWHYME, only a professional can diagnose you for sure. Good luck! :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
