Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Try reading up on ocd, and learn methods that might help you. I believe whenever you have one of these thoughts, confront it. It's hard to use an example since you didn't really go into detail.
Ocd goes hand and hand with my depression and anxiety. Say Im driving in my car and I know how obsessive I am about losing my X girlfriend because she left me. Well when I realize I get in that state of mind I confront it. Like Kuno said in a different post, i believe our minds do these things to relieve stress but the exact opposite happens.
Such as im feeling sad, so i listen to my depressing music that i like, that only makes me worse and worse. Now when I get at that point, i confront the ocd part that makes me want to play sad music over and over again. and i put on a happy or different type of music. Next thing u know u arent obbession over anything bad.
