Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
The reason I asked about your meds.. Wait a minute..are you getting help for your PTSD?
First schizophrenia is a form of psychosis and from what your telling me I don't think your psychotic.
Hearing voices is indicative of psychosis, but your having anxiety about your condition so to me that rules out that theory.
You have OCD, I'm guessing with intrusive thoughts, and you have untreated PTSD. Put the two together and it's quite possible to come up with the behavior your describing.
You have to get the PTSD under control, something has triggered it and now its sending your OCD out of control.
If your getting ready to jump off the deep end, fuck insurance and get your ass to the ER, they have to treat you then.
And if that ain't possible call me 575-921-6037 and I'll listen.
Hang in there darlin'
You know that your having problems, you know that what the voices are telling you isn't right, and you know you shouldn't listen them. Not to mention your communicating concisely and intelligently, not the signs of a schizophrenic.
I fully believe that something has triggered your PTSD and you really need to find out what and get it under control.
I went years trying to block out things that had happened to me and things that I had done and then I started to show signs of psychosis (sound familiar?) come to find out I had PTSD. Once I started getting treated for PTSD I started coming back to my old self. If you can't find a professional to help you, find some one to talk to and start dealing with whatever has got you all tied up.
