Does anyone wash his/her hands a lot in a day? I wash my hands around 40-70 times a day and I am wondering if that is a lot? Most of the times that I wash my hands there really is no need for it, but I just feel like I need to. It really is controlling, but I cannot stop it.

Are your hands extremely dry and raw? My daughter use to wash her hands about every 10 minutes. Her hands looked bad and they hurt her. It can become all consuming.

Honestly, I cannot really bend my fingers. If hand sanitizer is my best friend, hand lotion is a close second!

i wash my hands like crazy too! at least 50-75 times a day! then my hands crack and i get slices in my fingers that look like i took a knife to them. this causes me to wash more because i am afraid of germs getting into the cuts. and i have to wear a lot of band-aids...not so pretty. at night i sleep with cotton gloves and use really good moisturizer, to try to help my hands out!

used to do this when i was really little it has got better since ive grown up but yeah my hands were all cracked open with cuts. I still do it now and again and i dont really know why my hands are fine now but i still just run my hands under the tap now and again for peace of mind its really wird!!

I dont wash my hand that many times but i have to wash them after i do certian things. Deffinatly after i touch any animal, after i come from being outside, any time i feel like the germ level has gone up. Sometimes i can prolong washing them if i can convince myself the water is not clean or something.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
