Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
Oh lord.
In late elementary school my mom was realizing that she had ocds and that me and my sister might too (they had different issues though). After putting a name on my issue it got much better, though it still is something that bothers me from time to time. I have had to learn what things I need to buy to feel comfortable and not spend the whole day obsessing. But I still have my favorites, obsess when I am in my non-favorites, and indulge myself when I get home from work by changing into something comfortable, as unsightly as it might be. I am glad to know that I am not alone in this.
To me it seems like over-active or ultra-sensitive nerve endings, making me ultra away of how things fall against my skin.
(not ultra away)
on and find things that bothered me. At first i thought im just trying to find my style and going through a phase of having clothes that dont suit my style. But its hard to explain and my problem
is starting to cause me a lot of anxiety. I got rid of every piece of clothing i owned because i didnt like the way the arms folded up or the material or how the neck is or the fitting or the color and just cant seem to like anything. I own 2 pairs of leggings and a tshirt and thats all i wear. Im
annoyed because i want to have nice outfits that i can wear day to day and when going out etc but no clothing satisfies me. I may love how a certain dress or pair of jeans looks on someone else and i think i should wear something like that but im just not comfortable in it.
