Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

While us OCDers are probably some of the strongest people on the face of this Earth, we still need reminders that we aren't alone & that our struggles only serve to make us stronger.
This morning I was reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle & I came across something he wrote that has really stayed with me (I paraphrase): The day may be cloudy, but behind those clouds is the Sun.
Know that you are loved, respected, trusted, and honored. No matter what you may feel about yourself, those who truly love you see your imperfections as glorious parts of who you are as a human being.

I agree that we are strong but it is definitely good to know we are not alone. I read a quote the other day as well that I really liked. It basically said that when you are down and you feel you are at your lowest point do not ask why me....if when you are so very happy and things are great that you don't do the same thing...I am blessed with many great and wonderful things in this life and I know many of us are. We can not forget the good, it is why we fight on!

Thank you for that phrase. I am new to this blog but not new to OCD. I have become very good at hiding my OCD and no one knows what lies behind my clouds (that I know of). It is good to know there are others like me and that I am no alone.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
