Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.
I know the worries and fears can become a pain in the rear. My best advice for you is to stay calm and try to focus on de-stressing yourself. I'm sure there are plenty of self-help stuff on the internet that you can use. That's what I did when I found out I had OCD... I went online and tried to find ways that helped me cope. Now my rituals and fears are down to a minimum!
Schizophrenia can be a scary thing... but I know that if your doctor thought you had it when you saw her, she would have told you because it's very easy to spot in adults. for kids my age, things are a lot different... but for adults, it usually shows. People around you would realize... My family always told me I acted unusual or different. It was then that I realized I had a problem.
I have hope that you will find your way out of this OCD trap. I believe in you!
Sincerely,
Jessica.
