Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Support Group
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder, more specifically, an anxiety disorder. OCD is manifested in a variety of forms, but is most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive (repetitive, distressing, intrusive) thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or rituals) which attempt to neutralize the obsessions.

In my own experience I've been unable to conquer the large areas in their entirety. Theres' one large area, for example, where I've been able to have partial mastery over a small area(within that larger area) and that's it! I'm still proud of that though. There are other areas where I've been able to reduce my OCD tendencies by half but, again, that's it! The smallest tendencies I've been able to eliminate all together. This type of work, and achievement, took yr.s, persistence, perseverance, and dedication.
In times of high or extreme stress, however, some(or all)of my work will be undone and I'll have severe flare ups in other areas as well. When this happens I know that theres' nothing I can do about it so I do my best to completely surrender this to the God of my understanding. Sometimes I fail, in surrendering, but I always try again. When the stress goes back to normal levels I go ahead and take one area at a time and I redo each area that I need to.
