Low calorie never worked for me. I was always starving and never lost weight. When I was pregnant I was borderline diabetic, so I cut out all white flour, sugar and potatoes. Basically started eating a fairly strict low carb. I have never counted calories, am never hungry and dropped 80 lbs last year.
For dinner tonight I had a fried egg sandwich. 2 pieces of low carb toast, 2 fried eggs, 4 pieces of sausage, lots of butter!
So my suggestion, try a few things and see what your body best responds to.
Today is my 1st day back "on the wagon" so to speak. I am working on healthy choices that have worked in the past and I exercised this morning. Baby steps. I have managed to swear off all pop (diet or regular) since October 26th. Although there were a few times over the past couple of weeks I really, really wanted a Dr. Pepper; I chose not to. I'm glad I kept that commitment to myself. I'm toying with giving up ice cream because I have trouble with that one being in the house at all.
