Sometimes, I feel it is best not to weigh every day. I weigh once a month, and can tell by the way I look and my clothes fit. I feel the scale brings a lot of anxiety. As long as we are eating healthy, watching portion sizes, and lots of movement, the weight will come off. Slow and steady is the way to go....
I do the one thing we're not supposed to do at all. I weigh every day - same time right after my shower. And I track my food using a tracker website. I have some pretty random weight swings as well - although not as high as you. Some days though it IS 1-2 lbs.
Using the food tracker and weighing every day I've found that carbs and salt do me in. Even if I stay under my calorie goal, if I'm over in carbs or sodium, I'll gain. The sodium water weight I can get rid of in a day - the carb water weight takes longer.
I'm a numbers person and probably take this a bit overboard. It's what I've needed to do though to not let it mess with my head and give up.
I'm not suggesting you do the same thing....just know that sometimes, no matter how hard we work at it, our bodies are gonna respond differently to different things. If you're doing the right, healthy things, the weight WILL come off!
Don't think it is a good idea because I do get discouraged when it is up after a day I have made good choices. But one day at a time......
