I am always looking for ways to stay motivated. The thing I started last week was a tip I got from the T.O.P.S. meeting I attended except I am doing it with a co-worker next to me instead of with those in the T.O.P.S. group. Anyway, we both came up with something we really wanted but havent gone out and gotten yet. I want a Wii with the Wii Fit Plus accessories to go with it. She wants the whole house DVR set up that Direct TV offers. I can afford the Wii and she has a way of getting the whole house set up free because of info I gave her on how to ask for it. Anyway, we each printed out something to represent what we want, such as a picture of the item. Then we have each wrapped up our gift to ourselves 8 different timesone nested inside box after box after box or gift bag. Each week that we achieve our goal, we get to unwrap one level. My goal is to release weight each week. She is starting out with exercising 30 minutes 4 times a week. So as I release weight week each week, I will find myself ready to purchase that Wii right before Christmas8 weeks from now. When tempted, I see the present in my cubicle or pictures I have placed around the house and car of my new Wii bundle.
This is the first Halloween that I didnt buy candy for the kiddies. Instead I got 50 calorie bags of pretzels that were decorated in the Halloween theme. Wal-Mart was selling them for under $5.00 for 40. You can bet that went on the daily journal I'm keeping of things I'm doing to nourish myself physically, emotionally and physicall as a choice I made to nourish my physical body. It also brings me closer to being able to unwrap one layer of my gift on Wednesday. :-)
I hope you all are having a wonderful day! Linda

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
That, and you have to want it badly enough.
I always thought the way I LOOKED would be my most significant motivator as I take this journey, but, just feeling the way that my body is being taxed physically less and less with every pound I lose is definately the thing that will keep me on this journey all the way to goal.
Wishing you all the best!

- I would like to healthier.
- I would like to be pretty for my beloved.
- I would like to get less negative attention. I would like to be one in a million in the street.
These things keep pushing me.. even when I am down.
