Hello everyone,
I will be traveling soon...first time in over 12 years. Wondering about airline seat belt extenders. This is an issue that has always brought stress. I am ashamed to ahve to ask for one....I have a vision of them announcing it over the load speaker...."the lady in seat A4 is in need of a seat belt extender!" Ugh!
Any info I should know or tips...maybe just some insight on weather its something you let them know when booking?

I used to need an extender and I would pay early boarding or ask for early boarding telling them I required a little more time then when I entered the plane I would discreetly tell the attendant. It mostly worked but... be prepared sometimes they are insensitive asses. One of my worst experiences: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/09/is-for.html :( I hope all goes smoothly.

Also have to agree that southwest airlines do suck when it comes to larger people. It has been awhile since my personal incident so maybe they've gotten better employees. But yea...they are not nice at all. I didn;t even have a problem at all sitting comfortably at the time, however the airline attendant took it upon themself to say that I may have to pay for an xtra seat if the plane got too crowded! I wanted to tell her to "bite me" LOL!
