Im having a problem that is really fustrating. I weigh 440 lbs (down from 460) and i need to go the dentist as i have a broken back tooth. its not painful but just irritating. I have not been to a dentist in 10 years as i have not had the money or insurance to go plus ive had a suspicion that the dentist's chairs would be too small. Well, i called to make an appt and mustered up the courange to ask the lady if they could accomidate someone of my size. She said she didnt know and than called back and said she called the manufacture of the chair and they said it wouldnt support so much weight. So how in the heck am i supposed to see a dentist?? Ive been frantically trying to lose weight because i just recently got engaged and now because i have a tooth issue and need to get into that dentist chair. Its very fustrating... have any of you had this problem before and how did you handle it. any suggestions would be really appreciated.
My husband also has trouble fitting into any booths. The last time we went to On the Border, we had to wait forever for a table, because there were only booths left and they were very busy. Well, the couple who got there after us got called to go to the booth and the lady was so nice and said we could go ahead of them. I said, "No, that's okay." She insisted, saying we were there first. I insisted that they should go. Finally her husband sort of nudged her and I think THEN she understood what was going on. It was humiliating for the hubby. We actually ended up leaving. People don't understand unless they go through it personally or love someone who has to go through it.

Knowingly that we might not fit comfortabley into a booth, why do we go to & return to restr. that we know have booths & some table seatings, espically during busys time w/o calling ahead & reserveing a table to be held for us at a certain time. sigh.
I know that I can't fit into size 4 so I don't try. However,if I got drunk & should try. I sure wouldn't get upset w manufactor/store.I love sidewalk cafes.
I too need to go to dentis but had to put it off. just had to get a loan.
I dread going.

I dread going to dentist. I don't mind being worked on. it the bill after insurance, that smarts.
