Really - no one has experienced this?

I have the exact same problem. I got a new doctor a few months ago and he prescribed Ditropan. It works great and I've only had one accident in the last 4 0r 5 months. I hope this helps you. Take Care

Yes, thank you Shell. I am surprised that there is something for this. I know it is not uncommon for women who have had children and apart of the aging process...but from the pressure of too much weight? I am happy that there is maybe something my doctor can do to help. Will this get better as I lose weight?

There are exercises women can do to strengthen the muscles, forget what they are called but it is just tighten, release, and repeat. Try it when you are peeing to stop the flow of urine when you tighten... then you can do those exercises anytime. Once those muscle get stronger they can help you "hold it" til you get to the bathroom. (I think they are actually vagina exercises, Hummm... maybe we just need more sex? LOL)

I still have problems when my bladder is really full like first thing in the morning... if I had to walk too far, I would not make it. I keep pee pads next to my bed just in case I think I might drip on the way.

Have you been to a Doc? It could be a medical condition. Hang in there. Try and not to drink anything after 7:00 pm. Good luck.

Thank you guys so much. Ugh...I guess it is time to tell my doc. I am dealing with so much right now as I am trying to find the right meds for bipolar2 and unable to work. I have been on leave since April 9th and rarely leave my house. I have gained about 60 pounds in 2 years. I was on Cymbalta for depression (misdiagnosed). I was quick to blame the med for the weight gain - but I think it is more about the mental state the meds put me in...I was feeling so nuts...I turned to food...and lots of it. I just didn't know what to do. I now weigh over 250 and I am 5'3". Now the bladder issue is just adding insult to injury. I have been in the hospital twice this past month for feeling so hopeless and imbalanced. Things are slowly getting better. I do plan on taking the weight issue on when I am back to work (hopefully next month). I did lose 40 pounds on Weight Watchers about 5 years ago (got half way there at the time). It is a good plan for me (highly recommend it).

its happened to me, i too wear panty liners 24/7 but ive noticed since ive been losing weight its been soooo much better. love missy

I, too, have this problem, and yes, I wear pantyliners when I go out. I have noticed lately, though, that it happens at night. I feel like I have to go(when I'm still asleep), so I go to get up, but I don't make it to the bathroom all the time? Scary thing is, the bathroom is right next to our bedroom? When I get a job(hopefully shortly), I gotta go see a dr, as it's really embarassing! It's only happened a few times, but it still is embarassing.

220 lbs and 5'2", so the weight thing could be part of the problem....on WW to try and lose weight...

I too have to wear incontinance pads for leakage. I have a spastic bladder and all the weight gain has only made leakage worse. Embarrassing is right!

Mep - that's exactly my story! The night issue - oh boy! Twice last week...didn't make it and I was like "what the F-ck?!?!" And when I go BACK to work in about a month...what to do? I was thinking that I will have to bring liners with me to work (back-ups).

my doctor said if your sitting on the loo start and stop your wee a few times and it strengthens your bladder.it was hard at first to do but it helped me.
i find i can hold it now when before i couldnt when i had to go i had to go right away xxxxx joanne
