I just want to say that you have a lot of things going against you here that need to be addressed, LiliannB, so that you will have the most chance of success here. As I've mentioned to you before, expecting to be able to eat 2,000 calories a day at your current weight and not experience both physical AND mental deprivation is just unrealistic - as both your body and your mind will tell you in very short order. According to the calorie calculator on freedieting.com, 2,109 calories a day is the amount a 40 yr old woman, weighing 225 lbs, exercising 5 times a week should be eating to lose weight...and you currently weigh 252 lbs more than that. When I plugged in your stats (don't know your height, so I input 5'7"), the calculator says you should be eating 3,616 calories a day to lose weight. So, there's one issue...you seem determined to force your body to live on far less calories than it needs right now...and it WILL let you know that.
Even more important than the calories, I think you need to have a little heart to heart with your family. Being yelled and laughed at by them when you overeat doesn't sound particularly supportive to me. I think you need to pick a time other than in the heat of battle (i.e., they're yelling and laughing and you're in tears) and try to have some open dialog about how their comments make you feel. (Not the easiest thing to do, I know, because most of us have family members that drive us crazy.)
Your "eat less, exercise more" motto sounds great on paper, but, ALOT of things have to happen to be able to get that plan up and working. You need to get your family members on the same page with you, and you really need to be realistic as to how many calories you CURRENTLY need to have a steady weight loss, but NOT FEEL DEPRIVED. The deprivation part is what turns the greatest of weight loss intentions from eating like a mouse to inhaling whole pizzas.
I'm telling you, hon...as much as your heart may be in this thing, just as sure as today is Sunday, if you try to make your body subsist on 2,000 a day at 452 lbs, it is going to turn on you with a vengence. Then, it's enter inhaling whole pizzas stage right, being yelled and laughed at by your family, you in tears, until the whole ugly cycle plays out the next time around.
Any time your body feels that food sources are limited (hint: the 2,000 calories a day at your weight), it will store fat and lower its' metabolic rate...exactly the opposite of what you want. I'm sure CassandraMarie is a nice person too, but, if she's eating 1,200 a day maximum, please don't follow that, or you'll both be looking at Deprivation City and a HUGE revolt by your minds and bodies. It just will not work...period.
Eat the calories your body NEEDS to not feel deprived and you will have a healthy, steady weight loss that you can live with. And, talk to your family members.
