I'm on my journey of weight loss and doing pretty good so far. I have lost over 100 lbs in the last 8 months. I still have about another 150 lbs to go. Here's the thing.sometimes I feel as though I'm going through this journey with not a lot of support around me. Most of the people I know do not have to lose this much weight. They don't really understand my struggles to just keep going. How much I want to love exercise and most of the time hate it. How I can see myself sticking to the food plan but I find myself sometimes getting bored with the food that I eat. Don't get me wrong I'm not going to ever give up and I know this is a lifetime change so I have to look at it long term but some days I find myself really struggling to stay on track. I want support from people who understand the battle within and without. I want to talk with people about this weight loss who are in the middle of it and have those kind people as support not some skinny person who has nothing to lose and then tells you they are fat. I come from a family of all skinny people and my weight gain came from a lot different things that most people don't understand. So hoping that there are people out there who can help.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
You obviously have built a strong arsenal of tools to help you but I get what you're saying too ... it's hard to be 'on' every day. Some days it would be so nice to not have to think of that bite of food as anything other than a momentary pleasure. It's like everything is wrapped in worry, isn't it? I struggle with how much energy it takes to stay focused on what I'm eating, writing things down, adjusting, questioning, etc. Do you struggle with that too?
I applaud your success Stephanie, truly. What an accomplishment!!!
I personally am just starting my journey to becomming fit and healthy. I have about 80 pounds to lose and have lost 6 pounds since stating on the 15th of this month. Right now my motivation is at an all time high and a lot of it has to do with this site and people like you who share their insight, frustrations and successes. I come here several times a day to read updates, get tips and add a note or two. It's kind of become my emotional "craving" if you will...
I completely understand your frustrations! Just the other day I read on a fitness site that I was thinking of joining about a person weighing 130 who felt she was fat and wanted to get to 108! 108 - geez, that's what I could really stand to lose - so I did the only thing I could do - I lost the site address. It actually made me kind of angry to read it - I'm not sure why???
I weigh 219 and want to get to 140 eventually. I am setting small goals to reach for and am just hoping I can keep motivated, work thru those horrible plateaus, and stay strong enough to keep trying. I know I can be "just this close" (pinches fingers together) to a major attack of the worries that can drive me to a large Oreo Blizzard or tub of not very good vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce that will cause me such enormous guilt that I could just give up all together!
So, lets work together-keep each other motivated and celebrate ALL our successes, whether diet/exercise related or not.
And keep posting. You all are my biggest motivator!
We can do it together!
