Obesity Support Group
This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
I was going through all the treatments used in my support groups, the ones geared towards weight loss. Almost unanomously, exercise, eating less, and eating healthy food won out over ANY standardized diet. The only diet with a consistantly high rating was Weight Watchers.
The highest ratings went to eliptical machines, swimming, walking, running, and cycling.
I found that interesting how so many people have tried all these diet with not a lot of success and the most successful options were exercise oriented.
Eating healthy and eating less won out over any specific diet, with WW as an exception.
That tells me that to do any particular eating plan on the market is probably not going to work. The only thing it will do is such my wallet dry. I think this is because those plans can be so strict, people can't maintain it so they throw in the towel.
Exercise and the basics of healthy eating, which most of us probably know, sound like the only true worthwhile endeavors.
Just some food for thought. No pun intended. :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...

On the other hand, when I finally realized I am going to have to watch what I eat and get off my butt and into the gym, I had a runaway success in losing weight.
