I just want to let you know you are not alone. I too love to eat and everything, the good and the bad, but do not give up trying to change. Little steps mean a lot. I can be good for a few days, but than resort back to bad habits. It is hard when we have been doing this all of our life. Just one day at a time....
I know what you mean about going to the store to get one thing and come out with sweets. I went to the store yesterday and started off good! I had some bananas and strawberries in the cart but by the time I left I had some cookies (for me), brownies (for my son but I ate 2 of them) and some ice cream (also for my son and I bought a kind I don't like so I won't eat it. lol). It's hard to break the habit of junk food. I get these really strong chocolate cravings. When I do binge eat I try to do it when nobody is going to be around. I just sit in front of the TV and eat. I hate myself for it later but it doesn't stop me unfortunately. :/
I just joined a fitness group that meets twice a week, so exercise, medis my doctor put me on and journals about food eaten are my plan.....
advice?
I will keep working on food addiction and loving myself well!
I might have a little fling with one every couple of months or so ;-)
@kiki, I get what youre' saying about needing food to survive. I have this discussion with myself though that while I need to eat to survive, cookies, cake, fried foods and breads aren't essential to my health. What I really need to survive is good nutritious food. The rest is a treat. I can have treats....I just can't live on 'em.
