I have been battling this problem and am still overweight. Doctors tell me that 5%of people with hyperthyroidism are over weight. Now the doctors are telling me that I cannot continue on the meds anymore cause they could damage my liver. So Wednesday I go for radiation therapy on my thyroid. So now I fear what my weight will do. If you have had it done please tell me about your outcome.
The thyroid is a tricky part of the body. So small, but so important....hugs....
most med can effect liver. even herb's vitamins n some otc type aprines can effect liver.
I have simple blood test done,every 3 mo's, to keep an watch on my liver. I'v been on this med for 8 yr w/o any side effects. I ve had mg change twice.
This med doesn't cause weight gain.
I am now going to buy n use iodine.I am now reseaching the best to buy, it can be broght at Walmart. Even when a multiple vitamin bottle says 100% of US daily allowance it is still not strong enough. I suspect that this will reverse your condition ?
