I'm in a similar situation as you. The longest I've stuck to healthy eating is 3 months..
I just started my journey once again yesterday. I feel different about it this time. I'm not giving up.
The trick too with eating is portion control. Try practicing that first for a month then after that start slow and eliminate 1 unhealthy food a month that you eat and replace it with a better alternative.
You are not alone, I am a binge eater, and have been forever.
I agree with Jodi, air popcorn is filling, and good for you, although I add a little butter.
Since, I love all foods(good and bad) I will not omit anything, but I am working on portion control. If I omit any food, I will just binge eat it later, and that is not good.
Other than portion control and lots of movement, I believe we will set ourselves up for success.
One day at a time......
I have been struggling with my weight for about 14 years now and have begun eating better myself. Some go-to snacks that I like is grapes with low-fat cheese slices, almonds and fresh fruit. I have a long way to go on my journey to get back to a healthy weight ( I need to lose 135lbs) but I am optimistic that I can be successful with the right people around me a site like this one that will help me stay accountable and motivate me when I need it.
Best of luck to you!
