This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
I try to remember that there are a couple aspects to what I want to do.
-Fixing the damage that bad eating habits created
-Changing those habits for the future so that I don't keep repeating this
Christmas and birthdays and special occasions are going to keep happening. Having an indulge day or occasional treat is a good idea I think. As Kathy says, there is another special occasion just around the corner. And as Rose says, if I don't allow myself the occasional indulgence, I'll binge later.
Many of us have indulged over the past few days. I know I have!! Now is the time to get back to our healthy plan so we're getting back to fixing the damage - and can enjoy a sensible indulge without guilt later.
As far as soulsearch.. I guess I did do what you did too. I lost my first twenty pounds right before Christmas. I do little goals because I have SO much to lose. But it's going to happen, and I feel like I have the "umph" to do it again! I hate the way I've felt the last couple days...
