Ive lost 40lbs since I first attempted to quit in August. Took a month for the Chantix to work, even tho they say quit in a week, I just wasn't ready.
Good luck, you can do this. Just don't ever start replacing cigs with food (not even hard candy) and you will be fine.
changing assoications of lighting up with doing r sitting in same ole same ole that you do when you smoke.
I suggest 3 step down stop smoking program. I use steo 1 n step 2. I refuse step 3. step. befor completing step 2 alter days between step 2 patchs and use of e-cig.
Now buy only healthy foods by the day or just enough for the week.
do not strave nor illuminate foods. Portion control and home made bags of single serving of grapes/fruit raw vegs. can vegs.
Fiber One cereal. I use it and corn flakes like chips.
half to find something to keep your hands busy. and og ya get out n walk. go to mall and walk/ most mall have mall walking clubs.
Yes you can do this.
I ate n eat carrot sticks/baby carrots. cerley stalks un buttered pop corn. I use seasoning/herb on pop corn. yes I also would mix melted chocolate candy over pop corn and chil the pop corn. I use plastic zip lock top bags to have single serving of pop corning ...
Don't give in.
Oh ya. I gave up a lot of friends who were my smoker buddies. In hard ware area in wal mart are silver felx paper type signs. post no smoking signs on your front and back door and on refg door and on sun visor on passage side.
I even have a no smokeing sign on back but inner side of guess bth room. along with photo sign on inner guess bth rm. I have sign that lets people in bth rm know that we can hear them. I even clip out of magazine a pit of cat. cat standing on hind legs with legs crossed, yes I have that at bottom area of inner side of guest bth rm door, lol
it lets people know not to stay to long because others may need bth rm too
any who.
toss out cigs yes even the packs that not opened. keep 3 reg cigs in your glove box. toss out r sale ash trays. I kept 2 ash trays for bobble pin's n ear rings. they are in my bth rm.
Anywho. you can win. you can breath without gasping for partical breaths. think of how wonderful and long healthier life you can have.
I had to have my smokeing room walls painted, replaced carpet and curtains.
I had to toss out of cloths. I even had to was hall walls and wall photos outside my bed rm door and formor smoking rm.
Will My acct mat be deleted. It has been nice meeting you. I hope what I shared about myself may be benifitual to you.
take care
.
so basically instead of $200. mouth in case of cancer sticks. e -cig would be aprox $40. month. 5 e fiters in a pack.
At 1st I used 2 fiters a week. then I got down to 1 filter everyother week. you can do this. don't give in. fight against the addition. no excuses nor lieing.to myself also helped.
best wishies
Find out what your biggest triggers are and work around them - do not replace with food. For me, one was smoking in the car. So I started carrying around a jumbo cup filled with my favorite non-caloric beverage. (For me that is diet coke with ice and lemon. I know diet soda isn't great for you, but IMO it is probably better than smoking. The ice and lemon makes it feel like a treat for me.) The other trigger for me was my first cigarette of the day, which I always smoked outside on the porch while my dog was going potty. I decided to start interacting with the dog more instead and that was just good for both of us.
So I continued to lose weight while quitting smoking. I am over 500 days smoke free now and down about 70 lbs. One of the best rewards for quitting smoking for me was being able to be more physically active. I am really excited about going on a hike this spring up to a waterfall that I have not been able to hike in 10 years.
You've got this!
