There is a diet where you do drink grapefruit juice 3 times a day. I have heard people praise it and I have heard people down it, but speaking from my experience it worked well. I did it in 1990 after going to sign up in the Army. I signed up for the delayed entry program so it was going to be 6 months before I was to leave for boot camp. After talking to the recruiter, he told me that I needed to lose about 20 pounds before I left, and he told me about this diet. If my memory serves me correct, it went like this, breakfast was 2 eggs cooked any style with 2 slices of bacon. Lunch was as much of 1 style of meat you wanted, with a salad. Supper was as much of 1 style of meat you wanted with 2 kinds of green vegetables. You also drink 6 ounces of grapefruit juice at each meal. Absolutely nothing in between, except all of the water you wanted, and no soft drinks. Within 3 months, I had lost around 60 or 70 pounds. It was about the only time period in my life, besides birth, that I was actually not fat. It was hard to do at first, but after about the first 2 weeks I was fine with it. I wish I could get myself together and do it again because now I am about 350. Good luck to you.

I always remember my mom eating grapefruit for breakfast when she was on diets when I was little. I don't know about juice though cause I always hear not to drink a lot of juice because of all the sugar. I can't drink grapefruit juice because for some reason it interacts with some of my meds. I don't think anything I said helped you one bit but I hope someone has an answer for you! :)

Yeah why don't you google the grapefruit diet. I lost minimal weight with this diet, but gained it all back. The acid in the grapefruits are not good for your stomach to do it for too long. There is no miracle diet or quit fix. You have to just learn to eat healthy, small portions, and exercise. Calories in versus calories out...Cut out sugar, soda, fried foods, and fast food....stop when you are full...and eat 5 small meals a day....Like I said there is no quick fix

Just be careful with the grapefruit, there are some antidepressants that you can't have grapefruit with.
