Bariatric surgeons require this in order to provide the surgery. It's a very stupdlooking test/questionaire. You are asked the same sets of questions several times but in different ways.
I wanted to make myself look like I was really REALLY out of control so they'd decide I really needed that surgery. I am very fat (my face on pic- different body)- eat wrong and late at night and alot but not all day and night long. However- I made it end up looking like I was a binge eater and so they cannot do the surgery until I get myself straightened out. They are concerned with binge eating that they will do the surgery to reduce my stomache and I will binge, rip open my stomache and die.
I thought about that and isn't that pretty much alot overweight peoples issue?
I just really want this surgery and I can re-take the test in about 4-6 more weeks I think and don't want to screw it up again.
I am too young to have arthritis so bad in my back and knees. I walk like I am 80 much of the time and was told I could be immensely better after losing at least 80 to 100 lbs.
I have been working a year to get here, and it's been the hardest road of my life. I've cried, I have struggled with hunger at times, I have given up everything i thought I couldn't live without. I drink onlt water and skim milk. Thats it....No tea, no diet soda, no juice,(it's full of sugar), , I have a protein shake in the morning, a protein bar in the afternoon, and a small highprotein meal in the early evening, and thats it. that means 4 ounces of either chicken breast, turkey or fish, one nonstarchy veggie, and either 4 ounces of yogurt(nonfat) or one skim milk string cheese, or sugar free jello. there are no potatoes, no corn, no rice. these are starch. there is no bread, except maybe once a week, and it is brown. 100% whole wheat. I eat eggs, scrambled, but with no butter or grease in the pan, just non stick spray.
It's a strict diet. But I've dropped 62 pounds since October23,2009. Maybe a little more, headed out to doctor in about an hour.
Point is, surgery is serious business, and if you can't be honest with a piece of paper, which is being honest with yourself, honey you don't need surgery...you would just be setting yourself up for disaster. My aunt Judy did this...literally blew her stomach up...now we visit her in the grave....
Surgery is an unbelievably big step, and they want to make sure you understand what it involves. alot of people think it's a quick way to get skinny.. they don't understand the work involved. you also realize the maintenance...you will have to take supplements the rest of your life. and follow a special diet, the rest of your life. it will not be as strict as the first three or four months, but you can NEVER EVER EVER EAT LIKE YOU DO NOW....NOT EVER!!!!
