If thats the case, to me the two days sound like hell and I would think you would just "even" out for the week.
Ive also heard it put the opposite way, diet for 5 days, eat what you want for 2 days. That would be easier but if you went crazy on your two free days, again, you would just even out. Lose then regain.
Which way are you talking about? Or is it a completely different way?
I enjoy eating throughout the day. I loook forward to having a snack and cooking dinner for my family. I just try to change things about the way i prepare dinner. I.E. instead of breading my chicken or pork, i marinate or season and cook on my george foreman grill. Thats what i love about the alli diet, i eat with confidence knowing that I am making good choices. With alli you can pretty much eat anything (the recommend staying away from fatty cuts of meat such as hamburgers and sausage). I even do have 1 slice of pizza while on this diet. I dont have to worry about weighing food or counting calories. i eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 small snacks a day.
Counting calories, and being mindful of what I put in my mouth seems to work best for me.
Good Luck in whatever you decide to do!!
First few times are the hardest. I felt weak and woozy first time on 600 cals. But I'm a retiree who can be at home and lie down for a few minutes if necessary.
One day I felt horribly hungry and as if my brain wasn't getting fuel. Felt disoriented. So I ate something and re-scheduled my 600 day. That time it was fine!
You only need to do the 500 or 600 calories on two days a week. You can schedule them for your convenience. If you fail, there's always tomorrow or the next day to do it right!
Important: the 2 days of Lo-Cal should not be consecutive. Don't try to do it 2 days in a row.
I am going to weigh myself at the end of the month. I don't expect a huge loss. I am 67 years of age and have thyroid issues. But I am hoping there will be a 5 lb. loss.
Thanks everyone for all the info.
