Well, as many people resolve to do on the first day of the year, I have decided that there is not excuse not to work out and eat healthy and intend to get my family involved, as well. As we all know, most of these resolutions fizzle out in the first week or two of the new year as life intrudes.
For me, however, this is my new life. As I was taking my mother and my husband's measurements and weighing them this morning, I decided to weigh myself as well. I broke down and cried. I guess it is true what they say about a number really breaking you. I have reached 300 lbs. I said I would NEVER let myself weigh 300 lbs. I literally cried for 10 minutes. Then, I got up, helped my mom with range of movement exercises because she suffers from arthritis and disintegrated discs in her spine, I worked out with my husband for 20 minutes, then I pushed myself into a personal 20 minute workout session.
I plan to eat well, and exercise 2 hours every day. The first hour will be similar to this one, but the second workout will be playing ball or "fencing" with light sabers with my husband. On the weekends, we will play racquetball. I am not going to let myself weigh 300 lbs!
I hope everyone makes new goals and truly sets out to achieve them...I will help anyone I can with their journey, because I need help with mine. Not many people believe I can actually do it; BUT I WILL! Who is with me?

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
