Non-hodgkin's Lymphoma Support Group
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a type of cancer arising from lymphocytes, a type of white blood cells. It is so called because of its distinction from Hodgkin's disease, a particular subtype of lymphoma. It is in fact an overarching term of many different forms of lymphoma, each with individual characteristics. Most cases start with infiltration of lymph nodes, but specific...
This time I am bringing a Korg keyboard with a headset, my laptop, my coffee maker, maybe an exercise bike, a small bottle of brandy (might need it). Hopefully, this doesn't make me feel too bad, so I can try to work while I am there. Need to make the time go faster.
The goal is still to try to attain remission so that we can immediately do the autologous stem cell transplant. Just need to find a treatment that works. Still being treated by Dr. Cheson (tried to get me into a phase 2 clinical trial that he was chief researcher in, but since I have both Follicular and DLBCL, Genentech turned me down. They wanted one or the other).
Very apprehensive about my pending incarceration (kidding, but not really).
Hope everyone else here is doing well. Thanks for the support.
All the best,
Dave

Good luck with your next series. I think you items you are bringing are a great idea. It will help make the time more pleasant. I have my fingers crossed it goes well and doesn't make you too ill.
Hang in there and know you have a whole group over here sending you good positive thoughts.
FIGHT...FIGHT....FIGHT.
I'm not very good at knowing what to say or write in a lot of situations.
Your story is very compelling and generates a lot of thoughts.
I'm sure that a lot of us may be thinking things like, "wow, if he can go through all of that, I can certainly handle what I've been through".
Most importantly, I'm hoping that things get figured out for you and that you continue to be strong. You are indeed an inspiration.
Even though things haven't been going the best way, there is daylight at the end of the tunnel for you and we all know it.
Also, I'm a musician too, and think it's great that you can bring some keys with you. Music has healing powers and I don't know what I'd do without it. Keep it up Dave.

A very special "thank you" for the hard task of going onto this site to tell us all of his passing. It means so much that you care about all his friends.
I will plant pansies soon (autumn time here in Cape Town, South Africa) in his memory.
God bless you all in this very difficult time.
