Ruling out MS.............again

Hi all I haven't been around because I have been so depressed it isn't funny. I just started to pull my head outta my ......butt and come to find out that an MRI I had in 2007 wasn't normal as the doctor I was seeing then told me. It seems that I had at least one lesion. I just found this out yesterday and today I consulted an attorney. My neuro now is going to put me in the hospital for a couple or so days and repeat MRI's spinal tap etc.......

I have been walking around with a lesion on my brain for 18 months and didn't know it. sux...

She didn't even tell me I had tested positive for Lyme , the doctor who she referred me to did. She and her staff told me the Lyme test was normal too.

God I hope there are not too many stories like this sweetie.. no one deserves this sh*@. U please get back on and tell us when u get back from ur hospital stay.. depressed or not... I know I just stayed away from my DS support as I was sick, depressed and had a hospital stay too..... but I stayed away and shouldn't have as everyone here always help me feel so much better even when my circumstances don't change for the better. Please be good to ur self and we... well I will worry till I see you here posting again...

Likely you're in the hospital by now, but wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you. Unfortunately I DO know a story similar to this. My aunt's doctor didn't tell her she had MS, but told her she has fibromyalgia. She saw the documents later that were sent for her disability and found out her true diagnosis was MS, and her MRI had several lesions on it. She used to be a member on the MS group, but I'm not sure if she still is, there were some ruffled feathers there and she just stopped visiting. I hope you find some long awaited answers. Thank you Lois Lynn! Unfortunately I have to get things organized at home before I go to be admitted and it isn't a dire emergency my any means so I believe I will go Monday. It's a three hour drive to my neuro and I just mad it Tuesday and don't look forward to doing it again...and of course I have mixed feelings about the testing. It's hard to look forward to another spinal tap!

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt, no one deserves to be strung along while the doctor decides whether what they saw was important or not. They should at least tell the patient and let them decide what to do next.

doctors suck and I'm sorry this has happened to you. I am now being tested for any brain lesions with yet another MRI so I understand what your going through.

I think my doctors are trying to kill me by not telling me everything also. From here on out I am asking for copies of everything...

Well they said I have two lesions but I don't meet any MS criteria? at this time. He said he wouldn't be surprised if I was dxed in the future but he isn't willing to dx me on symptoms and the two lesions??? anyway he put me on a beta blocker for the autonomic neuropathy and it is definitely helping! I guess I can't complain ...much
