Hi. The medication I'm on for the nerve pain, Allegron, has an anti depressant component and from what I've heard a lot are like this so, there shouldn't be a problem with you being on both too. I think alot of people suffering from a chronic condition end up depressed, its a damn hard life! I really hope you find one that helps, you might have to try a few and give them time to kick in, but I think they stop me from feeling completely overwhelmed and fed up with this new life.

I don't have any great advice for when the pain is out of control, all I can do is keep everything off it and away from my leg and lay flat until it eases. I have patches that contain Lidocaine and they numb part of the area and are a great help. You can also get stuff like this in a cream or gel and many people have said that really helps so you could ask your doc about this too. Well he didn't want to add an AD-but he said to try alpha lipoic acid. I took my first one tonight...has anyone tried this before?
