Narcolepsy Support Group
A sleep disorder (somnipathy) is a disorder in the sleep patterns of a person or animal. Some sleep disorders can interfere with mental and emotional function. If you are having trouble falling asleep or having some other kind of sleep disturbance, this group is for you.

I just heard the most heartbreaking tale from a co-worker... the reason for his divorce.
His wife had H1N1 ... nearly died, became narcoleptic, got prescribed a bunch pills, acted cray cray. etc...
Umm.... yea that was my ENTIRE high school years. I want to cry. I want to scream.
I feel soooooooo miserable for that poor woman (2 kids). Dad got everything - house and kids.
I want to slap him. I want to kick him. BUT no... I said nothing.
Well I did... I said that I got kicked out of a highschool and acted like a nutter too... back in the day, they gave us REALLY bad drugs. I totally humilated myself too... but I kept my personal opinions regarding HIS situation to myself.
I am sitting in my cube and I am trying not to be too (I dunno angry, confused, sad, ???) cause you know what emotions do to us, right?
Aaaaargggghhh!!!!!
I am so thankful for my husband right now. (Whatever happened to for better or worse?)

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
What emotions do to me is a BIG and confusing subject, especially when it comes to the divorce tales where "The Bad Spouse" could be me. Dunno what happened to for better AND worse, but I, too, am grateful for a husband who has stood by the vow with loving compassion.
So. . . What are the emotions doing to you? Getting a handle on them?
Lucky for me, cataplexy is not a burden I have to bear. I will nod out unpredictably in stressful situations, but it is not usually dramatic, though I do get a bit hyper trying to ward off the sleep.
And you?
