Using stimulents and weight

I have read some discussions about losing too much weight while using prescription stimulants. I am prescribed Adderall and Nuvigil right now. I have used a few other things to no avail. I see where a lot of people are concerned about losing too much weight. I am an average sized with a couple extra pounds on me. By no means am I overweight, but I consider myself, pleasantly plump. I have a little middle jiggle, but not too bad. I hardly eat at all, usually only one meal a day. I do drink the rest in calories. Mountain Dew and Chocolate Milk, are a dry mouthed releiver.

I was just wondering if anyone else don't lose weight from the stimulants. Maybe if I found something that worked really well, I would be skinny?

i am only on provigil/modafinil and nope i dont lose wieght, im not active enough and eat crap but i am trying to change this.

I use to be provigil for many years, didn't lose weight from it. Now I am on dexedrine. It makes my mind more alert but, no weight loss. I do take other meds that might be stopping me for weight loss. I did just recently join a work out club for women only. I hope it helps me w/my weight issues.

No weight loss here, even though my appetite is decreased.

Sleep deprivation severely messes with hormones that control hunger, weight, and metabolism, and none of that really changes when you are on stimulants. And once you are off them...it generally all comes back anyway.

Adderall suppresses my appetite, but I tend to eat a large dinner as a result. When I switched to Nuvigil for a week, I hardly ate anything (and nothing at all the first two or three days), but my weight pretty much stayed the same anyway.

I'm also on Zyprexa, though, which causes weight gain. When I went down 5mg, I lost 10 pounds in about two weeks. I want to go completely off of it (as I don't think it's doing much, plus it'd be nice to lose the weight it caused), but we're waiting until I get adjusted to the BiPAP machine before making any other major med changes; it's been three months, though, so I don't know when that will be.
